Alan has had a passion for woodfired pottery for more than 40 years. He makes most of his work on an antique foot-powered treadle wheel and makes his glazes using various crushed rock and wood ashes. He mixes most of his own custom clays. Alan has worked and exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally. He has received numerous awards and grants and has work in many public and private collections around the world.
