Hand-carved vulva pendant cast in bronze.

This necklace is part of the Blossomed (Vulva) collection, which was inspired by my Impurity Ring collection. This collection refers to and deconstructs the concept of purity rings — a cultural phenomenon and symbol of abstinence. The designs alter the text or iconography of purity rings, like a budding rose modified to a blossoming vulva-like. The intent is to question the idea of purity in relation to sexuality and the body to encourage everyday conversations and empowerment.
