Hinaani Design was founded by a collective of artists/designers/creators from the Kivalliq region of Nunavut and is proudly Inuit owned. This Tiriganiaq design was inspired by Mary Mariq Kuutsiq’s wall hanging, At The Fishing Weir.

“The amount of beautiful pieces we got to see in the WAG vault was amazing yet to choose only a few designs was honestly overwhelming. As soon as I saw this Tiriganiaq on Mary Mariq Kuutsiq’s wall hanging, At the Fishing Weir, I knew I wanted to use it. It is one of those characters that just stays with you as soon as you see it, making it an easy decision for me for it to be the 1st piece I would work on. Plus these colours are deadly.”
