I saw the log at the door of our monthly club meeting and asked about it. I was told no one wanted it. I immediately did, because I knew that nature had already provided the artwork, and what I needed to do was unwrap it.

A peppermill seemed like a good project, so I set out to make several of these.  This one was special, with the interesting patterns in the grain, even though cleaning saw dust from all the tiny worm paths was very time consuming.  The walnut was a natural choice for a contrast for the top and the carved feet on the base.

It has matte finish, with a stainless-steel mechanism.
