Cynthia is a proud member of the Norway House Cree Nation. Growing up, beadwork and traditional wares were a part of her family home and community where she was surrounded by this intricate, delicate art form. Her earliest influences came from her parents, great grandmother, and the many elderly beadwork artists in her community. Her early work is contemporary and she recently has found appreciation for old style traditional floral beadwork.
