From scratch and made by hand, the process matters. Dave throws his pots on a kick wheel, revelling in the slower rhythms of a human powered machine. His pottery is made using only natural materials from Manitoba - fireclay from the foothills of Riding Mountain, silacious sand from an ancient delta near Brandon, glacial till from the Interlake and wood ashes from his kiln. He takes pride in harvesting and processing all of the materials used to make a truly local, sustainable and unique product.
