Clay female figurines
Clay female figurines with the arms under the breasts, sometimes with bulging belly, probably suggesting pregnancy. The Neolithic female figurines, female in their majority, have been interpreted as amulets, representation of deities, symbols of initiation and magic or signs of a primitive type of communication between the members of the community. From Thessaly, Early Neolithic Period (c. 6500-5800 BC).
