Tim Gardner: The Full Story

$42.00

Tim Gardner: The Full Story brings together 135 watercolours, pastels, oil paintings and drawings produced by the artist over a thirty-year period.  Organized by the Winnipeg Art Gallery – Qaumajuq and curated by Director & CEO, Dr. Stephen Borys, this is Gardner’s first major retrospective exhibition.  Featured are artworks borrowed from public and private collections across North America, many of which have not previously been shown publicly.  Not unlike the long line of exhibtions the WAG has organized over the decades celebrating the work of artists who began, continued or finished their careers in Winnipeg.  TimeGardner: The Full Story is very much part of this lineage.

Tim Gardner was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and he grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and later Winnipeg, Manitoba.  After graduating from Fort Richmond collegiate in Winnipeg, he received a BFA from the University of Manitoba, followed by an MFA from Columbia University, New York.  He’s been geven solo exhibitions at several galleries, and has been included in numerous group exhibitions.  Gardner’s work can be found in public and private collections across North America.
